Caucasus I 5.642m Russia 1991
In August 1991 I made my first climb to a mountain abroad participating in a mission of the Association of Greek Mountaineers "SEO ATHENS" of which I was a member since March 1991. The this climb was just the fourth successful ascent by Greek climbers on Mount Caucasus to the highest peak of El Brus 5,642m
A. Sykaris, A. Avramopoulos, S. Nikolaou, K. Zoupis, N. Boumbalis, I. Fraggakis participated in the Mission and reached the top on 7-8-1991.
Also participating were P. Chionatos, P. Xynogalas (at 5,200m) & A. Bousias, P. Sourtzis (at 4,200m)
